CBA's mobile fab lab
left Cambridge last week for New York. The Sustainable South Bronx project will host workshops in the mobile lab in the coming months and use it to help build the infrastructure for SSBX's permanent fab lab.

a community organization committed to techno literacy. San Diego has a strong sister city relationship with Jalalabad, Afghanistan, and the plan is that this vibrant new lab will seed a fab lab in Jalalabad in 2008.
Prof. Neil Gershenfeld, Director of CBA, will be speaking about CBA research in a keynote at SC07, the annual supercomputing meeting to be held next week in Reno.
The next CBA event will be a workshop from Dec. 11-13 on the Internet 0 initiative to extend the Internet to embedded devices. This event follows an earlier meeting on intelligent infrastructure for energy efficiency:
